Erik Hoglund (1932-1998) is best known as a glass artist, but Hoglund was also a painter, a sculptor and a designer, he has designed furniture and ceramics. In the period 1953-1973 Hoglund worked for Boda Glassworks, he was an innovator of Swedish glass art with his rustic pieces. Hoglund is particularly known for his forged candlesticks and chandeliers with glass pendants.
In the late 1970s he worked for a number of glass works: Pukeberg, glass studios in Åhus, Transjö, and Strömbergshyttan. Hoglund is represented in a number of museums in Europe and the United States .
