In 1941 Hertha Bengtson (1917-93) was employed as a designer at Rorstrand. Her best known design is "blå eld" which was produced in the period 1951-71. She was later hired as a designer at AJ Hogana's Ceramics. Bengtson also worked freelance for the German porcelain factory Rosenthal and as a glass artist for Strombergshyttan Glasbruk.
