Gorgeous bust from the Komlos studio in Nyíregyháza Hungary. Made between 1931-1934.
Beautiful bright green glaze.
The bust is in very good vintage condition, minor firing crack in the glaze on the shoulder.

In 1931 Miklós and István Komlós founded a studio in Nyíregyháza. They designed and produced pottery sculptures and soon they became well-known throughout Hungary). The brohers produced elegant gentlemen, ladies, Afro-American musicians, sweet animals and child figures. In 1934 the Konlós brothers opened a second studio in Budapest They used a new mark on their Ceramics: “Komlós testvérek Budapest” (Komlós Brothers Budapest).
