Victor Rousseau was a renowned  and very productive sculptor. He is known for his very detailed and beautifully executed works. This figure is possibly a representation of Psyche. Rousseau also worked for over 20 years as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. The patina has a warm glow
