About the Artist: Ady Krøyer
Ady Krøyer (1933–2016) was a pioneering Danish studio potter who founded Ady Keramik in 1954 at just 21 years old. After training at Zeuthen Ceramics and gaining experience at Lyngby Porcelain, she developed a unique "thin-walled" style that blended Scandinavian minimalism with expressive, hand-painted patterns. Her work was highly regarded during the mid-century era, sold directly through icons of Danish design like Illums Bolighus and Magasin du Nord.
