An authentic, signed ceramic figure by the Austrian sculptor Leopold Anzengruber. Produced in Vienna in the 1950s, this sculpture is a superb example of the Mid-Century fascination with stylized ethnographic forms.
The base is fully marked: "Mod. 88 MADE IN AUSTRIA ANZENGRUBER." This level of detail in the marking is highly valued by collectors. The 18 cm figure features a sleek, stylized body and retains its original charm.
Condition: The ceramic form is in excellent condition. The original decorative bast skirt shows wear appropriate for its age and natural composition.
