This piece is particularly noted for its pinched leaf decoration, where the stoneware has been manipulated by hand to create organic handles at each end. The glaze is a sophisticated play of light and texture—shimmering crystalline blue-grey on the rim, descending into a velvety matte grey pool at the base. The interior center has a distinctive, slightly rough texture, providing a wonderful tactile contrast to the smooth exterior crystals.
