Art Deco Masterpiece: Carlo Rosberg Michael Andersen Plaque
This stunning Art Deco figural Carlo Rosberg Michael Andersen Plaque is a rare example of Danish ceramic art from the island of Bornholm. Designed by the recognized Danish painter Carlo Rosberg (1902-1994) during his freelance period with the Michael Andersen & Son factory.
The large wall hanging features an expressive figural decoration set against a rich, reddish-brown background, beautifully enhanced by the famous Persia Glaze.
This award-winning glaze technique, developed by Daniel Andersen in the 1930s, is known for its intricate crackle and iridescent finish.
