A spectacular, large-scale Chamotte Wall Hanging Bowl by the Danish master potter Thomas Toft (TT), handcrafted at his own studio in Bisserup near Næstved, Denmark.
This piece is a quintessential example of Scandinavian Studio Pottery from the Mid-Century era. The square form and rough, textured chamotte clay create a dramatic foundation for the bold, graphic decoration. The centerpiece is a stylized rooster decoration rendered in vibrant orange and black glazes, creating a striking focal point.
Thomas Toft established his highly regarded studio in 1957 and became known internationally for his heavy, expressive pottery and unique surface treatments. This bowl is designed to be both a substantial decorative table bowl and a compelling piece of wall art.
