An exceptional Mid-Century Modern stoneware teapot designed by the master Swedish ceramicist, Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) for Rörstrand, Sweden.Nylund served as artistic director at Rörstrand for decades and is celebrated for his revolutionary glazes and modernist forms. This particular design is instantly recognizable for its strong, architectural shape, resting on four small feet that lift the body.
It is finished in a magnificent brown haresfur glaze, a signature Nylund matte glaze known for its rich texture and depth of color, reminiscent of fur or crystalline formations.
The piece is completed with its original, organic bamboo and rafia handle, which provides a beautiful, natural contrast to the stoneware body.
This combination of sleek ceramic and natural materials is a hallmark of Scandinavian Modern design.
