Haico Nitzsche for Søholm – Mid-Century Stoneware Lamp Base
Sculptural Haico Nitzsche Søholm Lamp base, designed by the German-born ceramicist during his tenure as artistic director at Søholm Keramik on Bornholm, beginning in 1974.
Haico Nitzsche (b. 1943) brought a sophisticated modernist perspective to Søholm, shaped by five years of work at the legendary Gustavsberg factory in Sweden. This piece features his characteristic architectural approach to clay, with bold stoneware textures and a design that bridges the gap between Scandinavian industrial design and studio art pottery.
