A superb and substantial Antique Neo-Classic Bronze Vase with detailed figural scenery in relief, attributed to the prestigious foundry of L. Rasmussen (Lauritz Godtfred Rasmussen, 1825-1893), Denmark.
Rasmussen founded his casting company in 1853 and was responsible for some of Denmark’s most important public sculptures, including works for the Royal Theater in Copenhagen. This vase exemplifies the refined Neo-Classical Revival style of the late 19th century, featuring a detailed frieze of classical figures and ornate architectural elements.This is a collector's piece of significant weight (3 kilos for just 6.3 inches in height), indicating high-quality, dense bronze casting. It maintains an excellent patina consistent with its age.
