An exceptional, large Art Deco period bowl by the celebrated Danish sculptor and designer Just Andersen (1884–1943). Produced in his Copenhagen workshop shortly after its founding in 1918, this piece is a rare example of his early metalwork from the 1920s.
The bowl is crafted from a heavy, dark-patinated bronze with a striking, minimalist gold circle decoration at the center, providing a luxurious contrast that defines the Art Deco aesthetic.
The simple, elegant form and substantial weight speak to the high quality of the early production years.
This bowl is marked with the early model number BX176, confirming its status as a collectible, scarce model from Andersen's highly influential period, before the widespread use of his Disko metal alloy.
It functions beautifully as a decorative centerpiece, vide-poche, or charger.
