A spectacular and rare Mid-Century Modern Art Glass Vase designed by the legendary Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983) for Kosta Glassworks in Sweden.
This commanding 10.5-inch vase represents one of Lindstrand’s earliest and most experimental engraved designs after he became Artistic Director at Kosta in 1950. Dated to late 1954, the piece utilizes the "LG" (Engraved Graal) technique, showcasing a complex and intricate pattern masterfully cut into the heavy crystal. Lindstrand is known for his revolutionary forms, and this early engraved work is a highlight of his tenure, sitting alongside his famous Gondola, Safari, and Zebra designs.
It is a true collector's piece, combining elegant mid-century form with exceptional Scandinavian glass artistry.
