Bertil Vallien
Swedish glass artist and ceramist. Born in 1938 . After graduating from the School of Fine Arts in Sweden in 1961, he studied in the United States and Mexico. In 1963 he was assigned to the glassworks Afors where he created a series of glass sculptures .. A large part of Vallien's works are issued in small signed editions, but he also designed the best-selling tableware ever - the Chauteau series from 1981.
Other known designs are Satellite, Domino and Brains.
