This signed and numbered polychrome lithograph is a distinctive late-career work by the important Swedish artist Åke Holm (1900–1980).
Holm, who established his studio with his brother Ernst in 1928, is primarily celebrated for his pioneering ceramic figures and his popular 'Kulla' Trolls. In the later period of his career (1966–1980), he transitioned to printmaking, creating a total of 275 different numbered lithographs.
This piece beautifully exemplifies the simplified, softened biblical motifs that characterized Holm's work from the 1970s. It offers a unique opportunity to own a work by Holm outside of his more common ceramic output.
