An exceptional and rare Aldo Londi Bitossi Red Bowl, handcrafted in the mid-1960s at the world-famous Bitossi Ceramiche in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy.
While Aldo Londi is iconic for his Mediterranean blue glazes, this piece belongs to the elusive Rimini Red (Rosso) production line. The bowl features a vibrant, fiery red-orange glaze that pools beautifully within the deep, hand-incised geometric motifs. This sgraffito-style technique gives the piece a textural, three-dimensional quality that is a hallmark of Bitossi’s 20th-century artistic output.
The substantial 9¼-inch diameter makes this an ideal centerpiece, perfectly capturing the bold, expressive energy of Italian Mid-Century Modern design.
