Axel Bruel (1900-1977)
Danish ceramist and painter. After graduating from the Academy of Art he ran a studio North of Copenhagen, but he also worked for Royal Copenhagen and for Nymølle 1944-1959. Bruel returned to Nymølle in 1963 as artistic consultant. He has exhibited in the British Museum and the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art . Bruel experimented with glazes .
In 1957 Axel Bruel designed a thermo coffee set for Lyngby Porcelain " Thermodan ", which won the medal in 1957 at the Triennale in Milan, Italy. The set is now part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
