Ceramic jug is a superb example of the artistry from Dybdahl Studio, founded in 1952 by Margrethe and Palle Dybdahl. This particular piece, signed 1978, features the face motif that the Dybdahls were known for—a design scratched directly into the wet clay.

The jug showcases the studio's mastery of texture, with a beautiful contrast created by the rough, tactile raw clay exterior and a smooth, practical blue glaze lining the inside. It is an authentic and desirable piece of Danish art pottery.
