Art glass bowl designed by Gunnar Cyren (1931-2013) for Orrefors, Sweden. Green and orange glass decorated with leaves. Gunnar Cyren started his career as a silver smith, later he became a glass artist and designer. He worked for Orrefors from 1959-70. The bowl has its original label, and it is signed: Orrefors Cyren 475211. Excellent condition. 4 1/2 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches wide.

Cyren came to Orrefors in 1959 and worked there for 10 years.  After some years in New York working for Dansk International Designs Ltd he returned to Sweden in 1975 to establish a smithy  in Gävle, and from 11976 he was again associated with Orrefors
