About the Artist & Foundry
Jens Jacob Bregnø was a prominent Danish sculptor known for his elegant, often sensuous depictions of human figures. His work bridged the gap between late Art Nouveau and the cleaner lines of Art Deco. Bregnø was a frequent collaborator with the Michael Andersen & Søn studio on Bornholm (designing many of their most famous stoneware figures), but his bronze works remain his most exclusive output.Brdr. Grage was one of Copenhagen’s most respected foundries, known for their precision and high-quality patination.
