Joseph Simon and Søholm: A Unique Collaboration

This compelling stoneware vase is a unique studio piece by the designer Joseph Simon for Søholm Stentøj, one of the most significant Danish pottery firms based on the island of Bornholm. Simon, born in Hungary and educated in Vienna, worked with Søholm in the late 1960s, contributing a distinct, refined, and sculptural aesthetic to their production.

The vase is a one-of-a-kind item, confirmed by the marks indicating it is unique and handmade. Crafted from  Stentøj (stoneware), it embodies the quality and organic style of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design.
