Just Andersen: Art Deco Disko Metal Casket
Designed in 1933 and produced in Copenhagen, it is crafted from Disko metal -Andersen's proprietary alloy of lead, tin, and antimony. This material was developed to achieve a deep, sculptural patina that mimics the richness of aged bronze.
 
The interior features a solid hardwood lining, historically used for cigar storage (humidor) but equally suited today as a sophisticated desk casket or jewelry chest.
 
Condition Report: Very good vintage condition. Good vintage condition. The box shows a gentle, honest patina and a few scratches, that confirms its century-long history. No dents or structural damage.
