A charming and unique hand-painted stoneware vase designed by the notable ceramicist Gertrud Kudielka (1896-1984) for L. Hjorth, Denmark.

 

This exceptional ball vase features a delightful Mid-Century Modern interpretation of a marine theme, with a dynamic fish and seaweed decor rendered in rich, organic green hues. The stoneware body and hand-painted technique make this a unique piece of Danish Art Pottery.

 

Gertrud Kudielka was a highly regarded ceramic artist who worked with the esteemed L. Hjorth Keramik factory in Rønne, Bornholm, contributing greatly to the studio's legacy of decorative arts.
