Stoneware vase designed by celebrated ceramicist Per Rehfeldt, the Åbo vase is a masterclass in organic abstraction. Taking its cues from the Eider - a bird synonymous with the Danish coastal landscape—the vase features a fluid, ovoid form that culminates in a uniquely shaped rim, mimicking the graceful lines of aquatic life. 
 
Rehfeldt, who took over as a leading designer at Søholm in the late 20th century, brought a contemporary, sculptural sensibility to the traditional Bornholm pottery works. This vase is not just a vessel but a standalone piece of ceramic art, finished in a subtle, sophisticated green glaze that highlights its architectural curves.
