An impressive, large unique stoneware bowl created by master ceramist Rolf Palm at his own studio in Mölle, Höganäs, Sweden.
This Mid-Century Modern bowl is celebrated for its stunning oxblood dripping glaze. The rich, deep red glaze is characteristic of high-fire studio pottery and is applied here in a way that allows it to pool and run, creating organic movement over the surface. The piece has a desirable rustic quality, consistent with the artist's style, including a few burst bubbles that attest to its hand-fired creation.
Rolf Palm's work embodies the best of Swedish studio pottery—combining earthy textures with striking, controlled chemical glazes.
Maker's Mark: Incised on the base with the artist's signature: Palm 1965. (The number refers to the glaze recipe used for the oxblood effect).
