his is a unique studio piece (Unika) by the Swedish ceramist Eva Blahd. While Blahd is recognized for her early work designing dinnerware for Karlskrona Porslinsfabrik (1952-1958), her free-form stoneware represents her independent artistry and sculptural training (Stockholm, 1948–1952).
The vase features an ample, well-balanced form and is expertly finished in a vibrant, thickly layered studio glaze. The glaze texture, with its blend of cool blue and earthy brown/beige tones, gives the piece a strong, organic presence suitable for placement on a floor or large credenza.
